5 Ways To Get Customers To BUY NOW

You've built a great web site, but aren't quite getting the revenue you need / expected / desire. How come? Try offering them one or more of the following:

  1. A free gift with purchase. The "...but wait! There's more!" was started by Ron Popeil of the Ronco fame when he watched and mimicked the vendors on the boardwalk in Atlantic City. Since then, this catchphrase has made Popeil a multimillionaire and he believes his techniques can help you too. (I tend to agree with him - he's a fascinating character).
  2. No risk trial. If they buy it and hate it, they can return it within 30 / 60 / 90 days (your choice) risk free. One of the reasons people hesitate to buy something online is they're scared that once they receive it, it's not like the picture. If you eliminate that fear, you'll help the sale.
  3. Give a deadline for the coupon. Chadwicks always has an offer like this on their web site and, I have to admit, it propels me to shop.
  4. Buy now, pay later. If you can afford to do this occasionally, people tend to spend more if they don't have to pay for it right then. Bill their credit card in 2 months or 4 months, etc. so you know you'll get your money, just not right now.
  5. Not available in stores. If someone sees it and wants it, but figures they'll head into the store sometime, you may lose them. Try this if you're running a special and trying to get rid of a specific product.
