What Are People Paying For Your Products?

When buying and selling merchandise online, it helps to know what's selling, what's not, and what people are willing to pay for it. One of the easiest ways to do this is by using eBay's Marketplace Research to investigate what you want to sell online and what your customers are paying for it. For a fee, marketplace research offers you more in-depth information than what you can find searching by yourself. If you don't want to send money, the Seller Central tells you what's the hottest thing being sold (I thought this was interesting. Check out the link). Or, visit the eBay University to use their free tutorial or jump right in by logging into eBay to see for yourself.
It's easy. In 5 steps you can research the information you need:
- Click on "advanced search" at the top of any page
- Enter the keyword of what you want to research
- Select the box for "completed listings only"
- Click on "search"
- When you results appear, you can sort by price, end date, date listed, and location/distance to you
Knowing what your customers are willing to spend on your products saves you much headache, plus gives you a quicker return on your time.
