4 Design Techniques Your Web Site Must Follow
March 29, 2007

When thinking about your brand online, there are 4 main areas - graphically - you need to consider:

  1. Size of your logo and colors
  2. Consistency
    • Studies show that the more people see something (commercial, logo, etc.), the more they retain it. Other studies state that someone must see or hear an ad 7 times before they remember it. Keeping the exact same colors, fonts, logo and layout on the web site will help customers remember you.
  3. Position of logo
  4. Reusing graphics to make it faster
    • The graphics are stored in your cache and don't have to be downloaded each time another page loads. This ensures a faster web performance and less agitation.

Study your web site to see if you're following these design rules. When building your brand online, following proven techniques saves time and heartache.
