Online Marketing Courses
February 14, 2007
A couple colleagues want to take internet marketing courses, but cannot afford to leave their stores for 2 or more days at a time. To help combat their problem, I suggested taking online courses instead. Here are 5:
1.
Developing Your Brand Strategy (free)
This 8-week course focuses on a different step each week. You have the ability to post your work, post your questions or read other's commentary. I spent time reading through the discussion threads and discovered a considerable amount of information that will help any business owner.
2.
Copywriting Tools & Techniques ($$$)
This 6-week course states it will help remove writer's block, how to write effective copy for ads and direct mail, plus other copywriting needs.
3.
Internet Marketing Course (free)
Cody Moya lists 13 online courses that include search engine optimization and traffic generation. When you register, he tries to up sell his other software packages, but the free information looks interesting. I signed up for 2 of the courses.
4.
Search Engine Marketing ($$$)
These search engine workshops offer instructor-led courses, self-led courses and an advanced textbook.
5.
eLearners.com ($$$)
This search directory of college classes offers both online and on-campus classes.
A search on
marketing courses in
Google yielded 72,000,000 results. You can find everything from college degree programs to weekend courses to online courses. I recommended to my friends that they find something that interests them - preferably free - and spend a couple hours a week learning as much as they can about marketing their business online. The pay-offs will be enormous as the web continues to dominate the retail industry.
