Creating An Additional Revenue Stream On Your Web Site
September 7, 2007

If you have good traffic on your web site, you can tap into an additional revenue stream by placing third-party ads on your site.  Using companies like ADster, AdbriteAdSpeed or AdButler (there are more) to manage the ads, you can sit back, accept and deny potential advertisers and collect a check each month.

How does it work?
  • Decide where you want to place the ads on your web site
  • Place the code from the ad-hosting company on your site
  • Set your ad rates
  • Approve the companies that want to be placed on your site
  • Monitor to ensure you're happy with the results
  • Collect a check
Choose the type of ads you want to run on your site (examples that AdBrite uses):
Examples of businesses that host third-party ads on their web site (note the tag 'advertisement" above or below the ad):
www.hgtv.com
www.recipezaar.com
www.ediets.com

Finding additional potential revenue for your web site helps off-set hosting and maintenance costs for your site.  Think of it as a rent-free place for your store.
