One In 5 Men Haven't Started Holiday Shopping Yet...
December 18, 2007

...according to a survey released this morning by the National Retail Federation in their 2007 Holiday Consumer Intentions and Actions Survey, conducted by BIGresearch.  It's Tuesday, December 18 and that's a mere six days of shopping time left.   I know I'm a big procrastinator (I haven't even bought stockings for the hearth yet), so this makes me feel like I've got some company.

When asked where they plan on shopping, men stated their going to hit department stores (43.9%), followed closely by online (39.1%).  Women's first chose was discount stores (42.2%), followed by department stores, then online (30.9%).  Specialty stores was the fourth favorite place, followed distantly by craft stores, drug stores, etc.  This bodes well for you with your online store, especially if they can order on your site and then pick it up at your store.

Read the entire article from the National Retail Federation and/or check out the survey results.

Happy holidays.
