Froogling Your Unwanted Merchandise
April 16, 2007

With Spring hovering in the air (if you're not in the upper East), many retailers are Spring Cleaning and staring at unwanted/unsold merchandise. An easy way to sell it online for free is by using Froogle, Google's answer to online shopping. I discovered even the most inexperienced person can use it without pulling out their hair.

Here's how:

  1. Log on to http://www.froogle.com
  2. Click on Information for Sellers link at the bottom
  3. Choose what you want to sell (products or vehicles) and whether you want to post them one at a time, or via bulk upload
  4. If you have a web site, you can integrate Google Checkout (no processing fees until December 31, 2007) OR you can build a Google web page and plug it in there
  5. Load your products and promote them

I found it to be easy to implement, and in a couple hours I had everything my friend wanted to sell loaded and online. Read more about Froogle on their blog, on their merchants forum and on their FAQ page.
