10 Must-Haves For Your Web Site
August 23, 2007
I believe there are 10 must-have items for your web site. Some could say they're merely suggestions, but every successful web site I've seen incorporates these. Why not learn from the masters?
1.
Contact information (located at the bottom of each page),
mapquest how to get to your location and/or a
store locator.
2.
Testimonials (whether they're on a local directory site or on your own web site or both).
3.
About Us section that tells your customers who you are, what you stand for, and why you're in business.
4.
News and Announcements / press section. If others find you newsworthy, then you're doing something right. Spread the news.
5.
Newsletters
6.
Video or audio on your web site
7. Polls and surveys. Engage your customers to find out what they like and don't like.
8.
Podcasts
9.
Customer-driven content. It's what made Myspace and YouTube the giants they are today.
10. Have an active
blog to inform and engage your customers. GREENCulture uses a third-party free tool called
Word Press to power their blog off their
web site.
