Business Travel Packing Guide
July 24, 2008

  1. Creating a list. Block out the dates you’ll be traveling in your calendar, PDA, etc. Jot down what the attire is each day along with the needed techi toys. Don’t forget casual clothing for your free times.
  2. Check the weather. Consider check the weather before choosing your wardrobe.
  3. Consider your clothing fabrics. Knitted fabrics are less prone to creasing unlike natural fabrics which tend to wrinkle more easily and dry more slowly than synthetics. Patterns, especially in darker hues, are better than solid light colors when it comes to keeping any wrinkles, stains or dirt from being noticed.
  4. Small and Versatile. Sunscreen and sunglasses, rather than that big hat can save space. Consider gadgets that’ll do double-duty, such as a USB cord that lets you tap into power from your laptop to charge your cell phone or digital camera. For rain consider carrying a tiny collapsible umbrella.
