Preparing is Essential When Terminating an Employee

Doing your homework is key when firing an employee. Pull together the following:
- performance evaluations
- written warnings and/or emails
- salary information
Remember to clearly write out an explanation to why the employee is being terminated and not reprimanded. Be sure to include all termination benefits an employee is entitled to receive. Organizing paperwork can help to make the termination process slightly less stressful and unpleasant.
