How Can I Save Money On Office Supplies? June 25, 2008
When it comes to office supplies, the cost of all the little things like pens and post-its definitely adds up. To save money on these and other office supplies, consider your needs and do some comparison shopping. Office superstores like Office Depot and Staples are good for many small- to medium-size businesses because they generally offer the lowest prices on standard-size purchases. Sign up for their rewards programs and receive rewards back, customize your rewards for supplies you purchase the most, and receive email coupons almost every month.
If your business has over 100 people, you may be able to negotiate special rates with contract stationers, which can stock as many as five times the number of items as office superstores. Warehouse clubs like Sam’s Club and BJ’s represent a third option, but while their prices are competitive, they tend to offer a very limited selection.

Dear Shanu--Nice article, but there is another way to buy file folders, pressboard folders and expanding filing pockets and that is direct from the manufacture. At AmericanFolder.Com we are now selling our manufactured filing supplies direct thus cutting out the big box retailers markup. So yes I agree that buying some office supplies from a large chain store is smart, but the real savings is when you find a manufacture that is selling direct. I invite you to go too our companies web site and see for yourself.
