Faxing Over the Net in a Nutshell
June 27, 2008

Small businesses are finding it’s easier to send faxes over the internet to other fax machines with little to no cost. The fee can be as little as 5 to 10 cents per minute for domestic faxes or a small subscription fee of $6.99 a month. Of course over sea faxes as well as a toll-free number can cost more. Companies such as eFax.com do offer FREE internet faxing but the main caveat besides being able to secure a number in your area code is that these services usually include advertising. For example, the advertising may be found in the email that carries the fax as an attachment. If you can’t stand the thought of your business faxes containing ads for other companies, these services may not be for you.
