Will Joining the Chamber of Commerce Help My Business?

Everyone wants to find new and exciting ways to grow their business. TV and radio advertising gets costly and cold calls get tiring. Your city is large enough so how do you attract those customers who’ve never purchased your companies services or goods. What better ways then to self advertise? You talk about your business with such enthusiasm and you make new customers just by talking. So, you ask—an inexpensive way to bring in a lot of affluent clientele…networking groups.

Have you ever considered joining your Chamber of Commerce? Where is the networking in all of this and what are the added benefits?

  1. Your company’s name, address, phone, URL, and email will be added to the chambers membership directory. A copy of the membership directory, the business reference, is a great tool for business-to-business partnering in you’re your market
  2. Listing on the chambers website.
  3. Most chambers week’s calendar holds more than one event bringing out different types of people.
  4. Annual events such as a holiday lunch-ins are great to meet member’s families, which add more people to your network.
  5. Chamber members are provided referrals upon request.
  6. Discounted rates on research information and mailing labels.
  7. Most chambers also provide access to discounts on business and consumer products and services, as well as the ability to promote—at no charge—discounts for your products and services to Chamber members
  8. Some chambers provide invitations to board of advisors meeting, which attract many of the chamber’s top members and deals with pertinent business and community issues. What better way to get involved in the community too?

The next time you are looking for ample opportunities to meet people, make contacts, exchange ideas and interact with others consider joining your chamber of commerce, after all, business often involves who you know, not just what you know.
