What’s the Easiest Way for a Small Business to Develop Gift Cards/Certificates?
August 13, 2008

Gift cards are popular, both because they offer choice to the card recipients and because they offer store owners an impulse offering to display near checkout stands. To begin your own gift cards, develop a design that matches your store's image—being sure to include your logo and the name of your business. You can print cards in various denominations to offer buyers a choice, for example, $25, $50, or $100. You also can have the cashier issue the amount requested by the customer, or you can offer both choices.
