New Recruitment Tools: The post-monster.com generation
July 16, 2008

For all intents and purposes, whether we like it or not, the world today operates online.  Everything, it seems has some sort of relationship to the Internet.  Sites like myspace, facebook and linkedin have defined our evolution into the Web 2.0 era; and we’re still evolving as experts hypothesize about what Web 3.0 is going to look like.  But in the meantime, there are verticals popping  up that apply social networking principles to specific industries.  For example, a new site called scopings.com focuses on advancing the online recruiting model to include participation from candidates and involves them in a way not done before on monster and careerbuilder.

It’s hard to imagine that the two heavyweights in online recruiting are already on the brink of becoming passé.   Ah, the technological age… moving us forward at a speed faster than life.

Scopings.com... What an intriguing concept and website! I'm a bit of a tech-geek so the idea of making the recruitment process a two-way street and more interactive via the internet is really fascinating. I'm curious to see what becomes of scopings.com. Thanks for the information!
