Peeve of the Week: Eye Rollers and Face Makers
September 4, 2008

Have you ever been giving a presentation or conducting a meeting when someone “in the room” finds it necessary to expel a heavy breath or otherwise grimace, roll his/her eyes or purse his/her lips to contort a facial expression that implies you are holding him/her back from claiming the winning thirty million dollar lottery ticket?  What is that?

It’s as though these people need to be seen, but only in their disgust?  Don’t you just want to yell across the room, “What are you trying to say?”

I do recommend asking the question anyway.  Just don't scream.
