Peeve of the Week: Becoming Deathly Ill on Thanksgiving
November 27, 2008

It had to be.  Murphy’s Law says so.  I am a fairly healthy person, certainly not one who is prone to getting sick all the time.  Maybe a cold here and a bug there but nothing to take me completely out of commission, at least not for years.  So wouldn’t you know, as luck would have it, that I’d  get “104-fever-throat-on-fire” sick the day before Thanksgiving?  No eating, no talking, no  drinking for me.  Oh well.  I guess I’ll look at  the bright side… no feeling overstuffed and gross with extra calories to burn off either.  Ugh.  Happy Thanksgiving!
